behind my neuroses...

Today it dawned on me.
I am just like my mother.
Or at least when it comes to planning, that is. She does the bills and she has a schedule of each payment on each card, she keeps track of every penny. She also is a huge planner, which is where I get that from. This segways into my next thought, something that I've thought about and really want to do. It requires lots of planning, especially financially, but I really want to do this.

The goal? set aside $50 a month from now, May 2007, until May 2012. this will total about $3,000.

why? the London Olympics.

yes, I know the tickets don't go on sale until 2011, which is four years from now. I don't even know where I'll be in four years. But it would be a pretty amazing experience. I just realized that the CCCU rents out housing during the summer too...and they have an Oxford program. I still haven't seen Oxford, so that could be pretty cool. Although it's right in about the same time as Paris' 'vacances' where everyone flees the city for the country, it could be cool to go there again as well.

anyways. I'll go. maybe I'll be a sports photographer by then and can get into the games with a press pass. ;)
